On March 26, 2012 Leo W. Gerard, President of the United Steel Workers (USW), in conjunction with representatives from Mondragon and the Ohio Employee Ownership Center (OEOC), announced their new “union co-op” model. This is a way for companies looking to incorporate a new ownership model and culture to develop sustainable jobs and sustainable communities for working Americans that works for everybody.
